The 2011 HIV Sentinel Survey Report indicated that the median prevalence rate among pregnant women, however, increased marginally from 2.0 percent in 2010 to 2.1 percent in 2011. The number of new infections recorded decreased from 12,890 individuals in 2010 to 12,077 individuals in 2011 (Table 5.8).
