B) Ministries involved in the implementation of the Convention
Pursuant to Decree n° 2013 - 506 of 25 July 2013 on the prerogatives of Government members as
amended by Decree n°2013-802 of 21st November 2013, several technical ministries are involved in
issues pertaining to children.
• The Ministry of Solidarity, Family, Women and Children , which is responsible for the implementation
and monitoring of government policy in terms of solidarity , family , issues related to women and children ,
is coordinating the overall policy on children . It has the mandate and the responsibility of the following:
- Implementation of education and assistance programs for vulnerable children and children in the street
children, in conjunction with the Ministry of Social Affairs;
- Development and monitoring of laws and regulations on child protection in conjunction with the Ministry
for Justice
