Family Civil Code of Seychelles Act, 1/01/1976, Laws of Seychelles 1996 Article 203: "The spouses jointly, by mere fact of the marriage, undertake the obligation to maintain and bring up their children". Article 212: "The Spouses owe to each other faithfulness, support, assistance and care". Article: 204: "A child is not entitled to enforce by a legal action against his father or mother a right to be set up in marriage or business or in any other way". Article 205: "the children shall be bound to maintain their father and mother or other ascendants who are in need". Article 206 makes this obligation extensive to those who are relatives-in-law. Article 371: "A child during his minority owes honour and respect to his father and mother". Article 372.1: "He shall remain under their authority until his majority or emancipation". 2: "The authority of the parents shall be exercise in the interest of the child".
