201.The maternal mortality rate, which was 215 per 100,000 live births in 1992 rose to 117.4 in 1999. Estimated at 92.6 per 100,000 live births in 2006, it rose to 76.9 in 2010 (up 15.7 points), and to 70.3 per 100,000 live births in 2012, i.e. an increase of 6.6 points. It seeks, as recommended by WHO, accurate information on maternal deaths and their causes. 205.Assisted deliveries and by qualified personnel experienced a marked improvement with an increase of 6% between 2000 and 2009.
