In urban areas, the rate of access to potable water in 2012 was 84%, representing an increase of 4 points compared to the level of 2011. In 2012, an additional 330,000 people were provided with potable water supply in urban areas. In terms of potable water supply in rural areas, the Burkinabe State and its partners invested CFAF 30.7 billion in 2012 as against 31.4 in 2011. In urban areas, investment in the sector amounted to CFAF 12.694 billion in 2012. Health A 2013-2020 human resource for health development plan (PDRHS) was developed following the analysis of the situation of human resources carried out in 2010. The objective of the plan is to contribute to the improvement of the performance of the health system by providing the sector with adequate qualified and motivated human resources. The draft plan was approved by the different actors and adopted by the Council of Ministers on 24 April 2013.
