CONCLUSION 4.1 For the purposes of the CSAR, Algeria prepared an outline of the Programme of Action (PoA) which it intends to implement in response to the challenges and inadequacies noted in both the CSAR and by the CRM. The APR Panel has studied the PoA and has shared its comments and recommendations with the Algerian authorities. 4.2 The Panel wishes to encourage the Algerian authorities to commit themselves to pursue implementation of the PoA in order to improve further the country‟s performance in the area of governance. It would include attacking those issues “where it hurts”, as President Bouteflika has put it so admirably. Some of the advances and achievements represent exemplary practices, which the Panel urges the country to continue to pursue with tenacity.
