The male literacy rate at 79% in 2010 was higher than that for females at 66%. This reflects a similar pattern to the earlier findings of the survey done in 2005/2006. It also revealed that urban household members were more likely to be literate at 88% compared to their counterparts residing in the rural areas at 69%. 7
