Commercial
banks
There were formerly 89 banks. These were consolidated by
December 31 2005 to 25.
The total number of standard hotels in 2005 was 1,880.
This rose to 1,974 in 2006.
Hotels
Hotel beds totalled 40,814.
The growth rate for hotels and restaurants was 12.91 per cent
in 2006.
