11-CHILDREN BORN OUT OF WEDLOCK: The Committee notes that there is
discrimination between children born out of wedlock and those born in wedlock and
recommends a better status for children born out of wedlock;
12- AGES OF MINORITY: The Committee notes that the age of minority varies
depending on the contents (civil, criminal) and suggests that the State Party should
standardize ages in conformity with the provisions of the Charter;
13- ADMINISTRATION OF JUVENILE JUSTICE: to provide mechanisms and structures
outside the prison to take care of minors in conflict with the law;
14- PROTECTION AGAINST HARMFUL CULTURAL PRACTICES: to strengthen the
strategies to fight against female circumcision, female genital mutilation and harmful
cultural practices;
15- CHILD LABOR: to adopt legislative measures to curb this phenomenon;
The African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child takes this
opportunity to renew to the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the assurances
of its highest consideration.
