43. In view of the foregoing, the Commission makes the following recommendations
to the government of South Africa:
Reporting Obligations and Cooperation with the Commission
44. The Commission recommends that South Africa should ensure it complies with its
obligations under Article 62 of the African Charter and 26 of the Maputo Protocol
by implementing these recommendations:
Ratification of Regional/International Human Rights Instruments
45. Make a declaration under Article 34(6) of the Protocol to the African Charter on the
Establishment of the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights and lift all
reservations under the Maputo Protocol in line with the spirit of the Protocol.
