(3) Upon making an ex parte order the Court shall set
down the application for hearing inter partes within thirty (30)
days of the ex parte order.
(4) A notice of motion shall be substantially in the
format provided in the Fourth Schedule.
(5) Every formal application to the Court shall be
supported by one or more affidavits of the applicant or of some
other person or persons having knowledge of the facts, in
accordance with Form 3 of the Second Schedule.
(6) An applicant may, with the leave of the Court or with
the consent of the other party, lodge one or more supplementary
affidavits.
(7) This rule shall not apply to:—
(a) applications made in the course of a hearing,
which may be made informally; or
(b) applications made by consent of all parties, which
may be made by a letter.
(8) The Court may, on application by the applicant for
sufficient reason, before the hearing, grant leave for amendment
of the notice of motion on such terms as it deems fit.
53.
(1) The applicant shall serve the notice of motion and
copies of all affidavits, on all affected parties not less than fourteen
(14) days before the hearing.

(2) Rules 16, 17 and 18 shall apply with necessary
modifications to service of notice of notion.
54.
(1) Any person served with a notice of motion or
amended notice of motion under Rule 52, may lodge one or more
affidavits in reply in not less than seven (7) days before the day
of hearing and shall as soon as practicable serve a copy or copies
thereof on the applicant.
