The Council also reflects the principle of federal character in its composition. It has the responsibility to superintend, as well as coordinate, the implementation of NPoA in Nigeria and report on same to Continental Secretariat on the APRM. It receives, collates and analyses the monitoring and evaluation reports submitted by relevant structures at Federal, State and Local Government levels and submits same to the Continental Secretariat of the APRM in South Africa. c. National Joint Committee on Implementation of NPoA: It is a body that is composed of broad sections of stakeholders drawn from public and private sectors of the Nigerian society with sufficient professional competence to undertake the implementation of approved NPoA projects. The Committee includes Government Agencies, Professional Bodies, Civil society Organizations and the Organized Private Sector. d. National Committee on Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of NPoA: It has membership drawn from relevant public and private sector organizations with competence and expertise in project monitoring and evaluation. Its mandate is to diligently monitor and evaluate the implementation of NPoA with a view to ensuring that stakeholders operate within the context of the best practices and standards envisaged in the APRM Base Document and the Review Report on the country. The Committee is also composed of Government agencies, relevant Professional Associations, and CSOs. e. NEPAD Nigeria serves as the Secretariat for the above mentioned Committees and has the responsibility to provide administrative, financial and technical support services for these Committees.
