Source: Ghana Standards Authority, 2012 5.12.2 Food and Drugs Board (FDB) The FDB continued its mandate of ensuring that consumers consumed only wholesome food and drugs. To this end, the FDB in the year under review continued to seize and destroy unwholesome food and drugs from the Ghanaian Market. The FDB has also come under criticism for the presence of unregistered drugs in the market which is being patronized by the public. 5.12.3 Public Utility Regulatory Commission (PURC) The PURC as the regulatory body has set benchmarks for the utility companies to improve services to the general public.
