Mapping Children on the Move within Africa 1.5 Study Limitations There are two key limitations. First, the scope of the study determined the depth and breadth of the study. As noted above, the purpose of the study is primarily to mapping the routes, push and pull factors, challenges and remedies with regard to children on the move. It did not aim to provide a comprehensive assessment of the degree to which countries are responding to the challenges faced by children on the move. As a result, the study focuses on the regional dimensions with snapshots provided, as much as possible, on country specific cases. Second, due to resource limitations, the study is largely based on desk top research and complemented by data and information with key informants gathered during the ordinary sessions of the ACERWC, as well as unstructured interviews while participating in relevant convenings on the subject by the consultants. 15
