A. Legal human rights instruments ratified by Mali
18. The Republic of Mali is party to several international legal human rights instruments.
Among others, these are as follows:
1- At the International Level:

the International Convention on Civil and Political Rights and its first Optional Protocol;
the International Convention on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights;
the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination;
the Convention on the Rights of the Child;
the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against
Women and its Optional Protocol;
the Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of
their Families;
the Convention against Torture and other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or
Punishment and its Optional Protocol;
the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the Involvement of
Children in Armed Conflict;
the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the Sale of
Children, Child Prostitution and Child Pornography;
the 1949 Geneva Conventions and their Additional Protocols I and II;
the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide;
the 1951 Convention on the Status of Refugees and its Protocol;
the International Convention against Doping in Sport;
