Chapter one: The African Peer Review Mechanism and its implementation in Lesotho 33. • To prepare a report on the challenges of the APRM implementation in preparation for the Sixth Africa Governance Forum (AGF). • To discuss the opportunities presented by the APRM process for Lesotho’s democratic governance. Following the consultative workshop, the country took steps to establish the national structures for the APRM. These included the national secretariat and a broad-based and all-inclusive APRM NGC to manage the APRM process in the country. An interministerial subcommittee was also set up to facilitate the mobilisation of resources and the sensitisation of government departments regarding the process.
