However, Ethiopia has not ratified the following international instruments: (a) International Convention on the Protection of Rights of all Migrant Workers and Members of their Families (CMW); (b) Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples Rights on the Rights of Women in Africa; (c) Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, aimed at implementing ICCPR; (d) Second Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, aiming at the abolition of the death penalty; (e) Optional Protocol to the International Convention on Elimination of all forms of discrimination against women; (f) Optional Protocol to the Convention against Torture and other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment/Punishment (OPCAT); (g) First Optional Protocol to the International Convention on the Rights of the Child, on the involvement of Children in Conflicts; (h) Second Optional protocol to the International Convention on the Rights of the Child, on the sale of children, child prostitution and pornography; and, (i) the OECD Convention on Combating Bribery of Public officials.
