In accordance with the constitutional provisions, the legislative elections were organised on 25 July, 2013 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) 129. It is made up of seventeen (17) members appointed as follows: - Five (5) members from the party with parliamentary majority; - Five (5) members from the opposition in Parliament; - Three (3) members from the opposition outside parliament; - Three (3) members from civil society; - One (1) member appointed by the government.
