Killings and Severe Torture
Moroccan authorities resort to endangering the lives of Sahrawi citizens through
the use of live and rubber bullets, excessive use of torture leading to the death of 4
Sahrawi citizens, among them a minor. 3 of these citizens died and thousands of the
displaced persons among them live in Gdeim Izik Camp, 12 kilometres away from
occupied El-Aaiun. These persons have protested against the deterioration of their
political, social and economic conditions and their continued marginalisation by the
Moroccan authorities.
