- Many indigenous children aged 6 to 12 receive a quality primary education and successfully
complete the primary cycle;
- Many children and adolescents illiterate and out of school benefit from a functional literacy
which is essential to their integration.
Health:
-Several children and mothers benefit from quality health services;
-Over 50% of indigenous people have access to quality prevention and care in HIV / AIDS;
-Grassroots indigenous people in intervention areas have 30% of drinking water coverage,
sanitation and hygiene.
Access to citizenship, strengthening legislation and law enforcement:
- 50% of indigenous children are reported to the civil registrar and parents have civil
registration documents;
-National legislation protecting the rights of disabled people is strengthened, and
discrimination and impunity are reduced in the intervention areas.
In cultural identity, access to land and natural resources:
-50% of non-indigenous people in the intervention areas have a non-stereotyped perception of
indigenous culture;
-50% of indigenous involved in community activities in forestry and forest management;
-Indigenous people benefit from implementation of income generating activities programmes.
Capacity building:
- 50% of indigenous leaders benefit from capacity building in the areas of sustainable
development, human rights monitoring and areas of support to informal organisations internal
structures;
- Indigenous NGOs that carry out concrete activities for indigenous people receive various
forms of support;
- Grassroots indigenous communities in three pilot areas have the capacity to fight against
extreme poverty;
- 50% of political and administrative authorities at the local level ensure the implementation
of commitments on the rights of indigenous people.
3. The national action plan for disabled persons is based on:
-Prevention and early detection through the development of studies and the organisation of an
information system in order to improve knowledge on the causes of disabilities and social
conditions of disabled people and to promote measures of early response;
-Development and support of specialised agencies, disability organisations and communities
that support disabled people in order to increase organisational capacity of institutions and
community structures for care;
