Government has approved the establishment of open prisons particularly for female inmates. 6.10 The budgetary allocation for the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services (ZPCS) was increased in 2019 to ensure maintenance and rehabilitation of existing infrastructure as well as improve the quality and quantity of the daily requirements for inmates.
