Is there any government policy aimed at raising awareness about safety standards in view of the threats to the environment and to the health of smallscale miners? iv. What measures have been planned in cases of violations of environmental standards or in cases where the activities of the extractive industries lead to a degradation of the environment? V - RECOMMENDATIONS Obligations Concerning Reporting 45. Mauritania must continue to comply with its obligations under Article 62 of the African Charter by implementing its recommendations; Ratification of regional/international human rights instruments 46.
