This may be due to established capacities stemming from experiences in dealing with the Ebola crisis. The country with the highest fatality rate in the region is Liberia, with (8.97%), followed by Burkina Faso (6.52%) and Sierra Leone (6.28%). These rates may suggest limited capacities of the health sector in these states. Seven countries out of the fifteen countries of the West Africa region have registered less than 2.00% fatality rate. These countries are Guinea Bissau (0.41%), Guinea (060%), Cabo Verde (0.91%), Ghana (0.51%), Senegal (1.03%), Cote d’Ivoire (1.21%) and Benin (0.59%).
